I wanted to share this morning’s book post with you, as I’m really excited about it.
Jo Fletcher Books have been brilliant enough to send these lovely copies of The City’s Son and The Glass Republic, the first two parts of the Skyscraper Throne trilogy by Tom Pollock. I’ve heard him talking about these books on The Readers recently, plus heard a lot of extremely positive things and I’m sure I’m going to really enjoy reading these.
I’m also so pleased to be part of ‘Team Fox’, the reviewing group for a new publisher focussing on children’s and YA, called Curious Fox. They’ve sent this great little bundle, with a lovely welcome note, and I’m so pleased to have received Secrets and Spies: Treason, by Jo Macauley, the first in a sequence of novels set in London in 1664. I’m looking forward to how a teenage actress can uncover a scandalous plot against Charles II.
You may notice I’ll be focussing more on YA, children’s and illustrated books from now on. I’m still going to reading other things too but watch this space for further developments later this year…
