Rob and Kate head off to London to visit the Book Fair and Penguin HQ.
In this week’s podcast, thanks to @DaisyBaker for reminding us about Fahrenheit 451, after our conversation about banned books last week. It’s classic dystopian science fiction about a world in which books are banned.
We catch up with the Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction shortlist.
We talk about our day at the London Book Fair and then at Penguin HQ, on The Strand, to celebrate Rob’s graduation as a qualified bookseller. Kate attended a seminar on Booktubing, with @booksandquills, @papertimelady, @leenanorms and @clarissapabi. We both enjoyed Andrew Davidson’s talk about designing new adult book covers for Harry Potter, and meeting up with Simon @SavidgeReads for lunch, then heading to Penguin, where we heard from Will Self and chatted to Charlie Higson. More about our day on the blog soon…
