Pretend to have read: The Consolation of Philosophy and The Woman In Black #bookadayUK

There are always books that you pretend to have read when they are brought up in conversation, or have on your shelf just to look clever. Here are our choices!

Rob: I’ve seen the terrifying stage play and own a copy of the film so always feel like I can get away with claiming to have read The Woman In Black by Susan Hill!

Kate: I bought The Consolation of Philosophy by Boethius to look intellectual at university but ended up giving it a try while on an inter-railing holiday around Italy. You can still see my Firenze postcard bookmark about half way through, which is as far as I got.
